The A Forest formed in Dundee, Scotland. Between them, Cat Lee-Marr, Chris Lee-Marr, Eilidh Glynn, Ewan Morrison, George Burton and Michael Lambert play bass guitar, cello, drums, electric and acoustic guitars, synthesizer and voice.

During their most active period the band played shows accross Scotland with other like-minded sorts such as the Zephyrs, De Rosa, Copy Haho, Viking Moses, Misty’s Big Adventure, Mountain Men Anonymous and the Cranebuilders. They also organised a fringe event for BBC Radio 1’s One Big Weekend in Dundee and played the 2007 Fence Homegame.

The band have previously released a split 7″ with fellow Dundonians Mercury Tilt Switch on Glasgow’s Too Many Fireworks and recorded an album which finally saw the light of day in March 2011.

Chris can be found performing as Esperi, sometimes with Cat and Eilidh, and as one half of The Kays Lavelle‘s rhythm section, alongside Michael.
